ALPS Daycare & Pre-School is a community of “life long learners”!  It is a “safe haven” for children to learn and grow academically, socially, physically, and spiritually. 

ALPS Daycare & Pre-School is a non-threatening place of learning where each child’s needs are met and questions are answered.  At ALPS Daycare & Pre-School, our students’ growth and concerns are more important than the lessons.

All of our children are actively involved in the learning process.  We believe every child is unique with gifts and talents that need to be nurtured for further development.  All children need encouragement to pursue their talents and share them in a school and community that is non-threatening.

Based on the age level of the children, various activities take place in the classroom and throughout the day such as; discovery centers, role-playing, cooperative learning, tutoring, musical activities, dance and dramatic play, outside play activities, and community service projects (PreK-4).  The learning centers cover subject areas such as language arts literary, number concepts, social sciences, living things, health and safety, and moral development.  You may see several students learning a centers, or small groups of students working on a project, or several students working with the teacher or instructional aide. Students explore their world using hands-on interactive projects while learning beginning academic concepts.  Every center provides the student with the opportunity to explore and manipulate objects to enhance learning.
